Luis Campos is a former law professor and seasoned attorney working in all areas of U.S. immigration law, international human rights law, and related compliance law for organizations working with foreign nationals and/or in foreign jurisdictions (including OFAC sanctions law; FCPA, and IRCA). He represents clients across the United States and globally. He has extensive experience with detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings – with a special focus on Asylum and Convention Against Torture cases. His work extends to appellate and federal courts, where he has pressed constitutional and APA litigation on behalf of undocumented, detained persons.
He recently advised and represented Central American women in U.S. family separation cases (2018 - 2021); Venezuelans in asylum and temporary protected status cases; Afghans in humanitarian parole cases during U.S. disengagement (2021); and U.S. parties involved in Afghan humanitarian evacuation operations (2021). He is a frequent speaker on issues of human rights, refugees, corporate social responsibility; and the ongoing project of [legal] decolonization.
