Legal Assistant

Kate Delval Gonzalez is the college intern for the Alliance of Idaho. She is an undergraduate student at Harvard and is completing a joint major in Latin American History and Literature and Government. She is also a Wood River High School graduate from the class of 2021.

Growing up as a child of Mexican immigrants, she became interested in the inner workings of the American immigration system. She is now planning to attend law school and is passionate about migrant rights. Her recent research interests are the historical development of immigration laws in the United States, U.S. interventionism in Latin America, the role of media in Latine social movements, and post-colonialism.

On campus, she was a reporter for the Harvard Crimson, covering topics such as Cambridge businesses and the Allston-Brighton neighborhood. During her free time, Kate is an avid reader, and, recently, she discovered a newfound interest in the commentary and aesthetics of Latin American films.
